Amy Andersen teaches American Sign Language to hearing students at a high school in Ocean City, New Jersey and was one of the finalists for the 2018 National Teacher of the Year. In this second half of a two-part series, Mandy and Amy tell stories that illustrate how advocacy and policy intersect with their work as language teachers.
